Corbett

Where the Wild Has a Voice

A landscape that changed India’s relationship with wildlife. Named after the man who made it possible.

Corbett is India’s first national park. It is also where some of India’s most enduring wildlife stories began.

The forests around Ramnagar carry the legacy of Jim Corbett, whose writings brought India’s forests, animals and people to readers around the world. In 1973, Corbett became one of the first landscapes to witness the birth of Project Tiger.

Today, Corbett remains a living intersection of wildlife, conservation, tourism, culture and community. That makes it an unusual place for a literary festival.
